Well, I have to tell you that I went to camp for the first time ever! The girls were going to church camp, and they were in need on some additional help with the high school girls, so I signed on. I wasn't with either of my girls, and we were all happy about that. We each knew that we wanted to have our own experiences and wanted to focus God, not each other. Now, camp was only about 30 minutes away, but it could have been a world away. No computer, no tv, no radio, no cooking, no driving, the schedule was set and we just had to show up. It's so cool to NOT be in charge of some things! We had lots of free time, and spent it on the beaches of Lake Texoma. We've lived in this area for 22 years, and I wasn't sure the the lake actually had beach areas. Sad, I know, Dean grew up with water of some form or another in his backyard for most of his life, and we live 30 minutes from a lake that we have never been on! Like I said, I spent my time on the beach, too much of a mother hen to abandon post and actually go out on a boat, but I was content and happy to watch the comings and goings of so many.
