Once again I am hitting the old projects and trying to get them done. The one's that you think "I'll get a roundtuit next" but then something new and intriguing comes before your eyes and that old project just lingers waiting.
This top has been done for some time, as in years, and I've had the ongoing struggle of hand vs machine quilting. Let's just say that after "committing" to this project, machine quilting was a quick response when I saw it again.
I'm planning on hanging it in my laundry room, and alas, as I was in there getting a preview I came across more incomplete projects. Embroidery work from, gasp, 1996! Yep, blocks of the month, with setting fabric and all. The date on the one block will be the only give away, because I just can't make myself use the fabric.
The artist that designed the blocks, Sandra White, visited a local quilt shop many years ago, and I signed up to have a family portrait drawn.
